Black small business owners rally at Minnesota Capitol during annual entrepreneurs event

Black small business owners and lawmakers rallied at Minnesota's Capitol Monday to speak on President Trump's DEI rollbacks, CBS News reported.
Business owners were hoping to speak to their legislators during an event called Black Entrepreneurs Day, which began three years ago to provide resources for Black-owned businesses, KARE 11 reported.
Democratic representatives of the districts of many business owners at the event were not present due to the political stalemate from the ongoing power dispute with Republicans at the Minnesota House, the paper reported.
Democratic state leaders, including Gov. Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, joined the rally to comment on the president's orders, CBS reported.
"I am telling you that it is illegal to say you can't have an opportunity because of your race, whether you're white, Black or whatever it is," Ellison said. "That is not what DEI is," the paper reported him saying.
